As an entry point for your area's Nursing Resource Center, and included in the Nursing Resource Center license, you will be provided with a "portal" page at the URL of  your choice to direct local users to your CCPS and CFRC.

The content of this site will be entirely controlled by you - allowing you to customize the text, links, and other resources available for your Nursing Resource Center.

The CCPS is a fully automated Internet-based clinical placement planning tool that optimizes nursing student clinical placements by allowing schools to quickly match their needs with placement opportunities. The system helps clinical agencies to review and respond to requests in a standard format and to the manage a single schedule while increasing student capacity.

CCPS was launched in May 2005 and within its first year was in use by over 55 hospitals and over 30 nursing schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since that time CCPS has expanded to other states and markets. The application software and hardware are hosted and maintained at Foundation for California Community Colleges and user support is available both live and on line. The system is enhanced on an ongoing basis, based on user feedback and further identification of needs.

The ability to locate qualified nursing faculty is one of the barriers to increasing nursing school capacity. The CFRC addresses this contributor to the nursing shortage by providing a focused online service that brings together nursing schools and potential nursing faculty. It will serve as a one-stop resource for those in, or looking to join, nursing education.

The faculty resource center facilitates the sharing of part-time nursing faculty among schools and makes it easier for experienced nurses to become classroom and clinical faculty. Our goal is that the CFRC will prove over time to facilitate, expedite and improve the ability of nursing schools to locate qualified faculty.
